WIMARQ Awards – Event Video Production for QRC

The Brief

Queensland Resources Council engaged us to produce a suite of video content for the Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (WIMARQ) Awards. The objective was to capture the energy of the event while creating high-quality content that celebrated award winners and extended the impact of the event well beyond the ceremony itself.

The requirements from QRC were that the content needed to be produced efficiently, to integrate seamlessly into the live event schedule, and to align closely with QRC’s established visual style.

Our Approach

We designed and delivered a dedicated multicamera interview setup within the convention centre, creating a controlled green-room environment for winner interviews immediately after each award presentation. A detailed production running sheet was developed and coordinated closely with the event schedule, allowing us to capture interviews in real time without disrupting the flow of the event.

Alongside this, multiple film crews captured general event coverage throughout the venue. We delivered a priority rush edit of a 60 second highlights video, optimised for social media in 9:16 portrait format, and ready within days of the event. We also produced a series of more in-depth interview videos spotlighting each award winner.

Throughout the process, we worked closely with the QRC media team to meet specific visual and style requirements, building on insights from previous events to refine the overall production approach.

The Outcome

The final content package provided QRC with a versatile library of video assets produced with social-first in mind, which enhanced their shareability across online channels. The videos continue to support promotion of the WIMARQ Awards while celebrating the achievements of women across Queensland’s resources sector.
