Electrifying Efficiency: Fortescue’s transition to electric excavators with Liebherr-Australia

Pure Gold Films was commissioned to showcase the groundbreaking deployment of Australia’s first electric excavator, the Liebherr R 9400 E, at Fortescue’s Solomon mine. This project marked a historic moment in the shift towards zero-emission mining, as Fortescue beging transitioning their fleet to electrification in partnership with Liebherr.

Through a series of videos and still photography, we captured the scale, innovation, and excitement of this milestone. From the technical process of converting the machine from diesel to electric, to showcasing Liebherr’s partnership and level of support, our visuals tell the story of this revolutionary step in mining.
